Fermentation Research Associate

Responsibilities:

  • Fermentation Process Development: Design, plan, and conduct experiments to develop and optimize fermentation processes to produce various proteins via different host microorganisms.
  • Support of the Molecular Biology team with strain screening and selection.
  • Process Monitoring and Control: Implement strategies for real-time monitoring and control of fermentation processes.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze experimental data. Summarize findings in technical reports and presentations to share progress and results.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of fermentation equipment, ensuring that they are in optimal working condition.
  • Writing working procedures and SOP’s.

 

Qualification and skills:

  • BSc. In life science/chemical engineering/biotechnology engineering.
  • At least two years of experience in lab fermentation, a strong knowledge of fermentation principles.
  • Knowledge of various fermentation technologies, bioreactors, and control systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot fermentation-related issues.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe laboratory environment.
